Now is a great time to update your office furniture too. The government is looking to boost the UK economy by offering incentives for limited companies to invest in “plant and machinery” - that includes office desks and chairs.

Starting 1 April 2021 and ending 31 March 2023, most companies that invest in qualifying plant and machinery assets will be able to claim super-deductions and allowances.

• A super-deduction providing allowances of 130% on most new plant and machinery investments that ordinarily qualify for 18% main rate writing down allowances
• A first year allowance of 50% on most new plant and machinery investments that ordinarily qualify for 6% special rate writing down allowances
